The location is fantastic, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions like Darling Harbour and the Queen Victoria Building, perfect for family outings. The bar staff were friendly and accommodating, making our evenings enjoyable. The upgraded room was comfortable, and we appreciated the manager’s attentiveness to our concerns. the ensuite needs improvements, and the overall cleanliness could be better.

I loved being just a few steps away from St Mary's Cathedral and Hyde Park.

We had a decent stay at the criterion, thanks to its prime location right in the heart of the city. the bed was comfortable, making our nights restful. we enjoyed meals at the pub, which were both affordable and tasty. the small bathroom pod added a quirky touch to our room. although there was no lift, the stair access wasn’t too troublesome for us.

Staff were super friendly, helping me out with everything. The location is on point, just a couple minutes walk to the tram and nothing beats being in the middle of it all. Plus, the comfy bed was like a slice of heaven after a long day!

Just a heads up, those stairs can be a mission if you're not fit!

Retro fit bathrooms impressed with unique design elements. The clean rooms featured interesting vintage wallpaper that adds character.

Location lacks parking, forcing you to haul luggage four blocks. Family rooms are above the pub, but kids can't enjoy meals there, requiring extra effort to find eating options. Small rooms available can be inconvenient and cramped, especially for older travelers.

I stayed in the Superior King Room for 2 nights and loved how modern and clean it felt. The bedding was super comfy, so nice to crash after exploring the city. It's close to everything you want to see and an overall great deal for the price! Just note, the bar noise might bother light sleepers.

Conveniently situated near Pitt and George streets, the spacious room comfortably housed my family of five, though the ensuite bathroom was compact.

The room was centrally located, simple but perfectly formed, and provided great value for the price in the heart of Sydney. Amenities like premium bedding and free WiFi added to the comfort of my stay. The staff's hospitality.

Great stay with some hiccups

Staff were super friendly and helped us with our bags up the stairs. The room we got was cozy, all clean, and had that cool retro look. The dining area was inviting, we enjoyed a couple of drinks there. Just a heads up, those stairs can be a bit of a trek, especially after a long day walking around Sydney.

Had a blast with friends here. It's close to Darling Harbour and the Sydney Zoo, both just a short walk away. The area is buzzing with energy and the room was clean and cozy.

The only downer was the noise from the bar, tough to get some sleep. Just a heads up to future guests about that.

The location offered easy access to shops and attractions, the highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the disruptive roadworks outside that caused constant noise, and the room was basic with pest issues from flies coming through the bathroom vent. The staff were not very accommodating, further diminishing the experience.
